About

Hi everyone!

My name is Tynisha Harris and a little while ago, I was inspire to begin Truth & Honor in order to share my personal Christian journey, to encourage others, and to reach out to those who could continue to guide me along this path.

(For some of you, that first part is all you’ll want to read… and that’s fine LOL… but I must tell you… there is no podcast yet, so lots of reading until further notice.)

Here’s a little background to my story:

I was born and raised in Warrenton, Georgia. Though my dad was involved in my younger years and to this day he and I have a loving relationship, my siblings (there are six of us) were pretty much raised by my mom. She instilled so much in us with regard to being educated and being virtuous people. It paid off… because I graduated with honors from Warren County High School in 2010. I attended Georgia College & State University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in Science and Language Arts. In May 2017, I became a two-time alumna of Georgia College, earning my masters degree in Education.

For 10 years, I’ve lived and worked in some capacity in a place that was not where I grew up. Of course, I adjusted to living on my own and being away from home, but there were some things impacted by my “new life” that the one-hour drive home could not fix. Though it was not a complete loss, I did find that going off to school and living in a new city put a strain on my relationship with God. I guess looking back, simply going to church once or twice a month was not really a relationship, however, it definitely kept me grounded.

I always knew that God was waiting for me to give Him more of my time, but just like my reluctance to answer the call to teach, I was reluctant to sit still and truly submit to God. These days I am committed to doing things intentionally, for His glory and I am so excited to be able to share.

For those of you who have known me for my entire life (or part of it), welcome to the side of me that has laid somewhat dormant. For those of you who are as new to me as this website, thank you for coming to this page.

I hope that whatever led you here will encourage you in some way!

–Truly Honored,

Tynisha H.
